The Health Department provides a range of programs including a monthly Child Health/Well Baby Clinic, by appointment only, for those families who are uninsured or underinsured and have financial need. We are a Kidcare site and have packets for distribution for uninsured, eligible families. New Jersey is also currently accepting applications from parents who find themselves uninsured and who meet the state's guidelines.
We also offer a monthly blood pressure clinic for all residents held on the second Wednesday of each month between 9:00am and 12:00 noon. Walk-ins are welcome. At various times of the year we provide screenings for both male and female cancer and skin cancer, SMAC blood testing, Flu immunizations and Rabies Clinics. Please click on the events calendar or the news and announcement sections for additional information. You may also visit our form center to download applications for dog and cat licenses, marriage applications, requests for vital records, and SMAC registration forms, which must be completed prior to sign-up.
It is the health department that investigates all communicable diseases. We also inspect all restaurants and food establishments and follow up on complaints relating to them. Licenses for food establishments and permits for wells and septic systems, as well as the inspections required, originate in this office. Water quality analysis and reporting of all public bathing areas as well as health complaints relating to housing or property maintenance are investigated by the registered environmental health officer
